Fast and reliable food

There’s grab for transportation and there’s grab for food! It’s a life saver especially when you arrive late or at night at the hotel and you don’t know the area you are staying in. Once you login on the app, you can view various restaurant (not just fast food, if you want fried rice or iced coffee, you have those option) normally the delivery fee are really low (0.20$-1.00$ CAD depending on the country and the distance).

The application will show you when the driver arrives at the restaurant, when he leaves and you can also follow him on the map in real time. The app also has a chat section. Most of the time the grab driver will text you to confirm your order or ask you question. If they text you in other language, just use google translate (it work well enough for small sentences). Sometime the drive will also call you, answer in english if they don’t understand they will hang up and text you. Most of the time you cannot pay directly from the application (the restaurants don’t use credit card…) so you have to pay with cash to the driver. The application gives you the exact amount with the delivery fee, so there are no chances of getting scammed.

Side story: We use Grab food a lot in area that we feel like they were increasing the price for tourist. They cannot do that on the application so you get the real price and not the overly inflated price… (In one place the jack up the price so much in restaurant that it was even hight than the price in canadien restaurant, you laugh and left)
