Probolinggo to Bali by Bus
Booking
To book the ticket we went first on google to start looking for option and if it was
fesable. We ended up booking the ticket on
Easybook.com for 230 000 IRD (22$CAD) per person There’s multiple company
offering
this service. The differences are in the time of departure and the comfort of the bus.
Most of the bus leave from a different town than probolinggo, so the bus may have delay.
Different Options
Exécutif Bus
This is the type of buses we took mainly because of the time of departure. The price is
a bit higher than the limocar bus but not by much. In the bus you have a pillow and a
blanket, so you are “comfortable”. Nevertheless, the driving is so bad that you won’t
sleep. there’s around 12 people in those type of busses. You can also ask the driver to
come pick you up at your hotel via WhatsApp.
“LImocar” Bus
Like any big bus company in North america. It’s cheaper and the time of departure are
different from the executive bus. It may allowed you arrived later at your hotel.
The ride
Like I mentioned earlier the ride itself was pretty bumpy and it was hard to sleep on
it. We do make a stop where we were given a meal (it was included in our ticket price)
and where we were able to go to the bathroom. Later on we took a ferry (while being
inside the bus) to get to the island of Bali.
Arrival/departure
In our case the bus came to pick us up at the Hotel we were staying in. They texted us
first to inform us of the new time of departure (They were 3h late...) and then asked us
where they needed to pick us up. The arrival was pretty much the same, the driver ask us
where we were going and drove us to the hotel. (You need to address not just the name of
the hotels)
